A trainer who works only with women, and built the whole method around what they described.
The first session is a conversation somewhere local, away from the gym.
If nothing changes in the first session, you don’t pay.
Message me with a little about where you are starting from and I will tell you exactly how I can help.
Over ten years as a personal trainer, most of it working with women, one pattern kept repeating. Capable, motivated women who could do anything else, stuck at one specific thing. The words they used were almost identical each time. Do I belong here. Is everyone looking at me. Am I about to do something wrong.
That is not a fitness problem and it does not respond to a fitness solution. So the method was built around it instead.
Nothing physical happens until you are ready. The first sessions are conversations. We map where the feeling actually comes from, in specific terms rather than general ones, and only then do we go anywhere near equipment.
When we do go in, we go in together, and we go through the session afterwards properly. That is the part most training skips entirely.
About an hour, somewhere local and away from the gym. No weighing, no photographs, no food diary and nothing physical.
Every gym, class, programme and trainer you have tried, and what each one changed. This timeline is the fastest route to what has actually been in the way.
Which parts of the gym you are comfortable in and which you are not. The gap between those two is usually where the entire problem sits.
By the end of the session there is one specific explanation rather than a general sense that the gym is not for you.
We go in and train together. Thirty minutes inside, thirty minutes afterwards going through the session properly rather than booking the next one. This is where most training stops and it is the part that decides whether it holds.
You leave with a written plan you can remember on the gym floor, not a document you will never open again. From there it is fortnightly check-ins while you train on your own.
If that is closer to what you need than another programme, the first conversation costs nothing.

I work with women in person around Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot, Crowthorne, Winnersh and the wider Berkshire area. I come to you for the early sessions.
If you have searched for a female-friendly personal trainer, a personal trainer for women near me, or a personal trainer who understands gym anxiety, this is the page for you.
If the barrier is the gym itself, read gym confidence coaching. If you are starting from nothing, training for beginners is written for that. And strength training covers what we actually do once you are inside.
Ten years of working with women, one method built specifically around what actually stops them, and most training on their own inside three to five months. The first session costs nothing if nothing changes. Message me and tell me what you want to be able to do.
Because the specific barrier I work on is the one my clients kept describing in almost identical words, and the method was built around that rather than adapted to it afterwards.
Usually yes. Most women I work with are active in other ways, running or walking or classes, and the weights floor specifically is the part that feels off limits. Fitness was never the missing piece.
We talk, somewhere quiet and local. No kit, no assessment, nothing physical. We work out exactly which part of it stops you, and why.
You set the depth. What I need is your training history and where each attempt stopped. You never have to go further than you want to.
Drop me a message and tell me where you’re starting from. I’ll help you from there.
